Question
I've always had difficulty getting my daughter (now 22 months old) to sit down in the bathtub, but I could at least get her clean. She hates having water on her face, particularly her eyes, which inevitably happens when I'm washing her hair.
Even with a tear-free soap I've tested myself, she still hates water dripping onto her face.
Now that she has grown tall enough to climb out of the bathtub on her own, I have to struggle to get her clean. As soon as she realizes that she's going into the bathtub, she immediately starts whining and climbing out regardless of what I say or what toys I've brought. Sometimes, she'll just throw the toy across the bathroom floor and try to climb out and get to it.
What should be done when a baby hates the bathtub?
