3 Year Old Delaying Bedtime with Potty Breaks

Question

Hello, my three year old has always slept well through the night and became potty trained pretty quickly. Unfortunately, until recently, he asks to use the restroom 2-3 times a night. He refuses to go back to bed until he goes. He sometimes does and doesn’t go potty when we take him. My question is, do we ignore his requests and tell him to go back to bed, which will lead to cry it out method (we’ve done it before which is how he sleeps through the night now) or take him to the restroom each time? Thank you! Also to consider: he attempts to delay bedtime by taking 10 minutes to find a nighttime book and he says “love you, go to sleep” from his room over and over until we have to tell him to stop and go to bed,
