Question
Hello!
Our oldest daughter is going on 4 next month. She has always been on the quiet side. The last week few weeks I have noticed that when we receive company or we go visit others that she just sits at her chair and when someone addresses her that she just stairs downwards and does not say anything: e.g. when someone asks do you want water? she just stairs downwards and does not respond, when people greet her, she just stairs downwards. When I tell to respond she nods meaning yes I would like some water or greets the other person in a really quiet voice. What would be my proper response to her? Right now I feel like I am sometimes a bit pushy to get her to respond.
Your help would be much appreciated.
