Question
My two and a half year old likes to dress up in princess costumes and seems drawn to girl characters in movies. He has an older sister that just turned 4 and she loves all the princess things. I think this is just a phase and I don't feel like it's right to tell him things like "you're a boy and boys don't do that." My mom feels differently and babysits them 3 days a week while I work. She thinks we need to start not allowing him to be so interested in the girl stuff. She also sometimes feels that since she keeps them, she should somewhat have a say in raising them. So, can you give me some advice on my son and how to handle the "identity crisis" that my mom thinks he is having? Thanks a bunch.
