Question
My 8 year old recently told me that she knew what sex was because she was told by her older girl cousin (almost 12). When I asked her what she knew she said it was for making babies. I don't want to give too much information but wondered if I should talk with her about the basics of sex now? She seems so young to me but I want to keep the communication open and want her to know she can come to me for any questions. Do you recommend any books we could read together or should I just wait for other comments from her? She spends time with her cousins regularly so I'm sure more information will be coming. Thx!
