Question
My 11-year-old son tells lies and avoids the truth even when he knows he's been caught, he will argue every point he disagrees with, he will disobey punishment by simply walking away. We do not allow electronics (video games, computer games or phone), but he goes to his friends' homes to use them and thinks he is pulling one over on us. I have told him he needs to have his friends come to our house, but that results in a temper tantrum and his leaving the house. I used to argue but I have been focusing on alpha speech and saying what I mean.Right now, I am in a holding pattern because I don't know how to proceed. At this age, is it still appropriate to kick him out of the garden? If so, how should I structure the process?
