Question
My 14 year old son had a very rough transition to high school this year. Although he has the ability, he is not performing well and has failed two classes last semester.
This semester is not off to a good start, although he said it would be different. This morning he told me, "He hates school and does not care if we take everything away things are not going to change."
Do you have any suggestions on how to deal with this?
Initially, he was dealing with some bullying at the beginning of the school year which has been addressed. We have met with his teachers and guidance counselors and everyone is available to help him, but he hasn't made any positive changes and doesn't plan to do so.
