One more thing

Question

Hi I’ve been apart of my step family for a little over 3 years. I have 3 children from a previous relationship. My oldest daughter is 14, my son 11 and my daughter 9. My husband has a 14 year old daughter also and a 7 year old son. I wrote in to say earlier that I feel a lot of resistance and avoidance from my step children. I had expected it to be better by now but have learned their biological mother will never allow them to “like me” or my children for that matter. She calls and text messages my husband over everything. She calls to tell him he’s a terrible father because of all things that involve him spending time with me or my kids to the fact that she feels he posts too many pictures on fb that involve me. It’s really unbelievable. He always feels that if he tells her not to call etc that she will turn the kids away from him as she has the children the majority of the time. My husband has 1 night a week and every other weekend. They live about 25 mins away. At one point my husband did stand up to her and she did exactly what my husband knew she would do and turned his daughter away from him. She ended up not coming to our house to visit or hardly even accepting his calls. He was heartbroken and now feels that we just have to ignore the bio moms behavior due to the consequences if we don’t. The situation feels helpless at times. My husband is an incredible father and he didn’t do anything to cause his divorce.
Thank you for the great advice that you gave me earlier. This provides a tad more insight.
