Question
Our son recently turned 11. Having just finished "Parenting by the book" and almost done "Teenproofing" I am certain we started too late with "Gramma's rules" while we fumbled through time outs, reward charts etc... I only hope we are not too late. Our frustration is often with what to do for a consequence? What do we do when he talks back to us? Raises his voice? Is disrespectful? At present, we send him to his room for some time. We talk about how it is not acceptable. We want to nip this in the bud :) His 7 year old sister seems to be catching on as she watches our reaction to him she is an angel.
