Question
Our three year old daughter is anxious and crying when my husband and I want to step out for dinner for a few hours She likes our nanny and knows her since she was four months old, however she is demonstrating separation anxiety, which is behavior I haven't seen from her in more than a year.
I've reassured our daughter that we will return and that our babysitter is looking forward to playing with her. The last time our babysitter was here, she refused to go to bed and was waiting for us on the sofa when we returned home at 10PM.
How can we address this situation?
