Exposure to Exposure

Question

Hello. I read so many articles about what to do after a child or teen has been exposed and then becomes addicted to pornography. What are some steps to protect my child from interacting with what seems the inevitable prior to exposure? I have all the filters, etc. etc., but the simple truth is that children are exposed at an earlier and earlier time in their lives by accident or not. It seems I need to talk to my child about this before it happens, not wait to discuss what to do after the fact. My son is 11 years old and I have a 10 year old daughter. When is the right time to have such a discussion? Their brains cannot handle the exposure to pornography at such an early age. I don't want to say too much and do more harm. Any advice on this topic? Thank you.
