Question
Hi there, how can I discipline a 7 year old girl who is always forgetting instructions to be completed? I would giver her 2 or 3 instructions and she completes 1 or 2 of them, or completes all but doesn’t complete it properly/fully. Furthermore she is frequently forgetting to take her things from school and church eg forgetting her scarf, jacket, lunchbox, drink bottle etc on a regular basis. It’s not defiance or purposeful I believe - but this genuine forgetfulness has been happening far too often. The teacher has also spoken to me about it - she forgets instructions in class or completes them halfway.
She’s a really good girl in school overall and home, helpful and attentive, kind and thoughtful. Just extremely forgetful! Any strategies or ideas to help her at home and school?
