Question
My seven year old sees that he gets in trouble more than his sister. He needs discipline far more than she does. When he is sent to his room (we are using the ticket system) he says thing like "I want to smash my face with a brick" or "I wish I was dead so I wouldn't be in trouble in heaven. At first I thought this was attention getting behavior, but now I'm not sure. He is otherwise a happy and active child and only says this when he is being disciplined. How should I handle this?
