Question
I am at my wit’s end. My 6 year old is making life miserable for our household. She is very strong willed and gets very angry easily. At school she gets certificates for her “model behavior”. While I’m glad she is good at school, she makes life pretty miserable at home much of the time. I’m stuck on what to do to get her to stop the temper tantrums every time she is asked to do something she doesn’t want to do. This is usually in the morning before school and at night when she is very tired. However, she is very disrespectful to us and even swings at us and pushes us out of anger at times. She was in her room for 4 hours on Sunday after church until dinner and then early bedtime. She only had 4 books and no toys. I have taken her favorite toys away for a week. She doesn’t seem to care. HELP!
