Question
My teenage son is not interested in engaging in anything that requires effort. He gives up on everything he tries after just one attempt and after much coaxing and prodding, refuses to try again. I'm so concerned for him as he nears adulthood, as he gives up so easily. What is some advice on helping him be motivated to work at things, we talk to him constantly about the fact that giving up is not a good option and the fact that in life, it's important to work hard to become independent.
Please help!
