Question
Our 4, almost 5 year old has developed a very strong attitude problem lately. Everything that my husband or I tell her turns into her talking back. We have always told her “because I said so,” but doesn’t listen and continues to say mean, hurtful things to us and her twin brother. We are embarrassed to take her anywhere because she will ask for something and when we say no, she yells things like, “I will not listen to you” or throws herself around and hits us. We have taken her favorite toys away, given her a few hours to think about it in her room, etc....seems like we’ve tried everything. I feel like I am always threatening her with consequences and I am just plain exhausted. Please advise.
