Question
My 6 year old daughter is going through a period of fear after seeing what she deemed a scary part in a movie (this was a Disney movie but she seems to be extremely sensitive and at times seems to make things worse than they are). So for the last few weeks, she won't go to her bathroom or her room without mom or dad escorting her, because she's scared. Even when we are close by and can see her walking into said room, she still won't go in alone. We have tried ignoring her but she just cries because she's scared. We have tried looking in closets and under beds to show her no one is in there, but she comes up with what it's. We are tired of escorting her into another room, but cannot figure out a solution. Thanks for any help you can provide.
