Question
My son has joined my practice which was always our plan. He brought his girlfriend (also a dr & now is wife) back. They lived with us for 2 years. I trained them, shared my practice & they kept all the moneys they generated. After 2 years, them buying 2 BMW's, being verbally abusive & traveling first class multiple times on holiday I finally put my foot down, said they were taking advantage of my generosity & they needed to pay half the overhead. Their solution (after mom & I took our first month long trip to Europe) was to clandestinely move out of our home and clinic informing me by letter on my desk that they are leaving the state. My wife is devastated as we lost our daughter to cancer and he is our only child. Looking for advice on how mom & I can move forward with appropriate actions, behaviors & feelings. Thank you!
