Question
I need help with a 12yr old!Last year in 6th grade his grades slipped from As to low B/Cs.He's very smart and capable of As, but he did not turn in homework,projects,or crack a book.When he came home with Cs we took away all electronics(TV,Video games),which seems to be his only "Currency".It did not bother him enough to adjust his behavior.He is very controlling and does not have any friends, but does not seem to care.We can't get him to open up and talk to us at all.He refuses to do anything we ask(swim practice/meets,church,camp,chores,teeth).We are at our wits end.Does he need therapy or can you help?
