Question
My 4 year old son is a sweetheart, super affectionate and is constantly saying to everyone around them "I am proud of you" and "you're too cute" just to put into perspective his nature. My husband is deployed so he is not around for the time being but recently my son has started trying to hit me (mostly without contact) and hitting his 7 yo sister. She does antagonize a bit but there is no excuse for hitting, plus he has started throwing his hot wheels at her which could really cause some harm. He has gotten spankings for even trying to swat at me and a reprimand. Its not super frequent that he does it but is a spanking how I should handle that? And what about throwing his toy cars? I have been doing timeouts and taking them away for the rest of the day. Thank you for any help with this.
