Question
Our son is 18 months/3wks old and my husband and I are going to begin toilet training in the next few days.
We have read Toilet Training Without Tantrums so we are ready and prepared to go diaper-less from the moment we start (and we are very excited to start!). However, I have a question about how things go at night (or early morning, rather). Our son typically wakes between 5 and 6am and we give him a bottle (this way he goes back to sleep until 7:30 or so, and buys us all a few more hours of sleep).
How will this bottle affect his ability to "hold it" until he wakes up? Should we deny him this bottle so that he has a better chance of not wetting the bed afterwards?
The bottle is something we are working towards getting away from, but right now I feel like removing the bottle AND adding toilet training might be a bit much all at once. What are your thoughts?
Thank you!
