Question
My 6 year old son cries at what seems like the drop of a hat! He will cry if he gets mad, if he's overwhelmed, if he's anxious, and if he does not get his way. Some of it seems to be anxiety-related while other times it's mostly when he's mad because something did not go according to plan. It's getting old and embarrassing. Is this still an age appropriate response? How do we handle it and make it stop! I don't want to squelch his sensitive nature but I feel like I don't see other children his age reacting this way. Thanks for any suggestions or ways to handle this.
