Question
My four year old son has, much to my embarrassment, been a very demanding child who screams, cries, or yells with a tantrum. This happens when he doesn’t get the toy he wants, cereal he desires, or wear the pajamas he has in mind. Any little break with his idea of routine he lashes out. With his siblings, he will hit, kick or bite to prove his dismay. When I separate him in his room, the tantrum spot, he will jump on his bed or lay on the floor kicking the walls or doors. I try to stay calm and firm through this, but it wears the whole family out. My husband usually ends up yelling just as much as his son. I just desire a family who can spend time together with some peace. How do I help him roll with the punches?
