Question
This week I had a friend of mine and her child come to stay at my home from out of town. My 3 year old son and her son are the same age, and they have been enjoying playing together. On the third day of the trip my son began acting out (trying to pull away from my hand in the parking lot, talking back, etc.) He is on the ticket system. I have sent him to his room for the rest of day. I feel guilty about affecting the quality of the trip for my friend and her son. Is my child old enough for delayed consequences like going to his room after they leave?
