Question
My 22 year old son graduated recently with excellent grades and a degree in computer science. He’s moved home but shows no signs of wanting to find a job. He’s never had a job except for cutting grass. We’ve been patient with him, but it’s time for him to grow up. We ask him what his plan is and his response is silence. We’ve told him he needs to get a job, even if it isn’t in his field. It’s almost like he doesn’t hear us. He isn’t social at all. Doesn’t drink or do drugs. Has never dated and has very few friends. It seems he’d be happy to stay in his room forever. He doesn’t seem to be depressed. Are we missing something? We just don’t know what to do.
