Question
We started potty training our soon to be 27 month old almost 3 weeks ago. She has had very little success. She has only gone in the potty 5 times over the course of that 2 1/2 weeks. We have done everything John recommends, including the potty bell and gating her, but nothing has worked. It is difficult to even get her to sit on the potty for more than 10 seconds. And when we gate her, she is content to just pee on the bathroom floor (the only place small enough for us to gate her) and lay in it because of the tantrum she's throwing. Do you have any suggestions on how we can get her to sit on the potty longer? And also how we can help her have more successes? It's like she's afraid to sit there and let go of the pee/poop.
