Question
Our 3 (almost 4) year old son has 2 major misbehaviors: hitting (especially Mom and 5 year old sister) and completely refusing to do what he is told. I have cleaned out his room and he has spent 2 full days within the past week confined to his room for hitting me. I don't expect that the behavior is cured yet. He has also been refusing to follow directions at school and will tell his teacher "no" (something he does frequently at home). After reading The Well-Behaved Child, I am on board with a 14 day chart for these 2 misbehaviors. My question is: do I confine him to his room for those 14 days? Would the ticket system be easier given his age? I just need a little clarification. Thank you!
