Quiet Time for Mom

Question

I have 32 month old twins and have been actively working on making the transition to season two as outlined in Making the Terrible Two’s Terriffic. I am introverted by nature and need times of physical and mental space during the day. Is it reasonable to request they give me “privacy” when I need physical space and refrain from talking to me excessively when I need a few minutes to concentrate/decompress? Or is that too much to expect at this age? If I don’t do this they can interrupt me every couple minutes of the day. They are typically in preschool most days and we go out to the park, zoo, etc at least once every day so we have plenty of time together and they’re getting plenty of stimulation. However, we have had bad weather and illness that have kept us at home more frequently lately. They are also sleeping 12-13 hours every night so are well-rested, and are overall very polite, loving and well-behaved. Thank you!
