Disobedient 4 YO

Question

Our oldest continues to not listen when we instruct her to do something. She either does not do what we ask, complains that it is too hard, or screams.
She is four.
We typically reprimand by putting her in her room with door shut. She has banged the door so hard it’s beginning to break the door frame.

We aren’t asking hard things. For example, “pick up your toys,” “brush your teeth,” “put this clothes on.”

A directive or us saying “No” has no effect on her.

Thoughts.
