Question
I need help with how to handle my 7yo daughter's lying. Typically, the theme is making it seem as though she accomplished something that she didn't. Ex. She told me that she received second place in the religion fair project contest when she actually didn't. The previous year she won, but this year she didn't. Apparently, her making up the second place award allowed her to get praise from her dad and me. She has told similar lies before. What's a good strategy to deal with this? She has actually placed in other contests before, & she also knows that she makes the highest grades in her class. Is she wanting praise
