Perfect Time to Transition from Toddler Beds

Question

Hi again,
I have twin girls who just turned 3. We have continued to ride the crib wave and have put off transitioning to a big girl bed since they don't try to climb out. When do we need to move them to beds? We still are able to get them to nap, so we have also used the cribs to avoid them coming out of their room, which they share, during naptime/bedtime. I want to know the best method for transitioning them, as well as how to keep them in their room and to keep them from destroying their room if and when nap time becomes 'quiet time' (aka mommy and daddy need a break time). There is currently a twin bed in the room with the cribs, and we have yet to get the second. Also, their room jack-and-jills to the bathroom, which I see as a bonus, but how do I say they can get out of bed to use the potty, but at no other time, and not have them push those limits and fake it so as to get out of bed? They are generally very well behaved and do respond well to time-outs and tickets. I have been raising them on John's advice for years, but I am super not excited about moving to beds and dropping naps.

Thanks so much!
