Question
We do the Strike System with our 9 and 7 year olds and it is working pretty well. However, there is still a big, stressful issue when it comes to us telling the 9 year old to clean up her room or other parts of the house. Just a simple "Clean up your lunch area please" is met with screaming and "You don't love me!" and "Why do I always have to clean up?!" like it is punishment or something. No matter how small the job is, and even if the whole family is straightening together. Do we just continue doing strikes or is there a better way for this consistent problem to be nipped in the bud?
