Question
My 3 year old doesn’t like to eat. She has always had trouble staying on the growth curve and is quite tall for her age and has never been an easy eater. Now she likes to talk non stop during meals, and doesn’t eat without constant reminders. She will eat if I feed her but doesn’t take initiative to feed herself. Sometimes she will be at the table for 2 hours just to finish a half sandwich and a small cup of milk. She loses weight quickly if we don’t constantly feed or remind her to eat at mealtimes. How can we turn the corner and get her feeding herself? We got such great potty training advice that we are really looking forward to input on this other issue. Thank you!
