Question
My husband and I believe our daughter is addicted to sugar. We do keep limited amounts of cookies and chocolate in our house, and generally eat some dark chocolate after dinner. But, our daughter is really into sweets. She's a picky eater and won't eat vegetables. I hide them in sauces and prepare a few in ways that she will eat them (usually involving a sweet sauce).
Our real concern is that she goes over to our neighbors house and eats their candy and desserts - right after we've had dinner or lunch. It's alarming to us because she sneaks it, just like an addict would. We are worried this behavior could transfer over to drugs. I don't want to cut sweets out all together, because I think that will make them more attractive.
Any suggestions?
