I have a grand daughter who is now announcing herself as a transmute. Her mother is in a lesbian relationship with a wonderful partner and they are marrying this year. My daughter has set some good boundaries and will not allow her to alter her body in any way until she is an adult.
I am seeing this a lot lately in teenage kids. I have had this child every weekend since she was born and never saw any signs of gender issues until only 6 months ago. She just turned 15 last month. She was going to a private girls school and is now going to public school as a transmale.
How can I support her and my daughter?
