Question
I started potty training my 22-month old daughter 3 days ago. I have read the toilet training book several times. I was using the N75 method the first 2 days. She refused to sit on the potty for more than a second. Today, I decided to try the gate/potty bell. She's been in the bathroom for almost 3 hours, crying almost the entire time. She has peed all over the floor many times. Do I keep going with this? Is she too young to understand this? I keep telling her, as soon as she pees or poops in the potty, she can come out of the bathroom. She has a couple toys and books in there with her. I am not going back to diapers, but just wondering if I should alter the method. Thanks so much for any advice you can give me.
