Question
We've restricted our 8 yr old son to his room with only essentials and early bedtime until he has 15 consecutive days without hitting or pushing anyone.
How exactly do we keep him in his room? He's constantly popping his head out or trying to come out when he thinks I'm not looking.
We've been doing this for only a week and he has had to restart every 1-2 days. So it feels like there hasn't been any progress.
Prior to lowering the boom we were using daily charts to work on backtalking/yelling, following instructions, & hitting/pushing. But now we aren't sure how to punish for these offenses when he is out of his room for dinner, school, or daycare. As we've already taken everything away....
