19 mo Cries about Going Potty

Question

We started potty training our 19-month-old daughter a week ago using the naked and 75 method. She picked it up pretty quickly but we started on a Saturday and she went back to daycare the following Monday in a pullup and they sit her on the potty in intervals. She is doing pretty well overall, we leave her naked in the evenings, but she cries every time we tell her to go sit on the potty. Occasionally she will go use the potty on her own without instructions from us and she is totally fine, but when she cues that she has to go and we tell her to go sit on it she does but cries the whole time. After she does her business she is happy and fine. Should we stop telling her to sit on it all together and just let her figure it out?
