Question
My 18 month old daughter laughs whenever she is told "no" or not to do something. She usually goes into a fit of laughter and runs away giggling yelling "no! no!" Or she does something she knows she's not supposed to do while giggling and saying no! If I raise my voice, it makes her laugh harder. She is clearly looking for my reaction, and when she gets it, it's hilarious. I've sat with her in a separate "time out" area and she giggled the entire time, thinking it was a game. I can easily distract her, but I want her to learn to listen to me. My question is, how do I teach her that she needs to listen to me when I tell her no because she's going to hurt herself if she doesn't?
