5 and 3 1/2 yo boys over the top silly

Question

I have a five year old son and 3 1/2 year old son. I am very familiar with and have read several of Rosemond's books, most recently, The Well Behaved Child. I use the ticket system with both boys currently for the target misbehavior of obeying first time. However I am currently dealing with a new type of behavior, over the top silliness, that continues to escalate. I understand that boys will be silly at times, but this is above and beyond silly and not appropriate. My five-year-old pick this behavior up (and passed it along to his younger brother) from a young boy in his PreK class that is the class clown and is always acting foolish, making silly sounds, silly faces, creating goofy words to try and get others to laugh (I volunteer in his class and observe this several times a month). Both my boys feed off of each other and are getting totally wound up more and more frequently each day, at the kitchen table, in the car, at the store, at my parent's house, etc... Today during children's PreK choir practice they both got spoken to by the choir about their silliness (which this is their first time getting in trouble in a "school" type setting). Please advise me on how to appropriately get a handle on this behavior. Thanks in advance for your help in this matter.
