Question
My 12 yo daughter has gone from straight A's in elementary school to C's & D's in middle school. It's not because she can't do the work, she chooses not to. Her friends and social life seem to be a bigger part of the problem along with the cell phone & social media. I've taken away the cell phone & cut back on the sleepovers, etc... and deleted all but one social media account. Much to my dismay, I give the phone back to her and the same scenario starts over. I need some guidance on how long is acceptable for taking her phone away, no friends and social media. She refuses to accept "no" for an answer and "because I said so". Otherwise, she is a good kid.
