Question
14 year old son wants to go to midnight premier of a movie (The Hunger Games). This is a big event, most kids his age have read the book. I said no, because it's on a school night (Thursday at 11:55pm). He was upset of course - all of his friends are going (this is true - I checked). I told him I would be agreeable to a late show on a weekend, but not midnight on a school night. Am I being too restrictive? Or are the other parents just crazy to allow this? If it makes a difference, he is a good kid and an A student, and has no tests the next day.
