Question
Long story as short as possible--
Son (age 5) lost all his Halloween candy the day after Halloween because he left wrappers all over his bedroom. Two days later snuck into his sister's room (age 10) and stole several pieces of her candy. Son was punished (kept inside the rest of the day and made to write sentences). Found out he snuck AGAIN today and stole more pieces of candy. I feel this is a huge transgression that involves stealing, lying and covering up. Am I overreacting? Please help with some sort of creative/nip it in the bud consequence. Do I need to kick him out of the garden????
