Draw the line for 5 year old

Question

My 5 year old daughter would rather talk/interact with adults than children her own age. I've always attributed it to her being an only child, despite socialization in daycare and preschool. Now that she's started kindergarten it's become a problem. She is more interested in the teachers than students, and she's been in a lot of trouble this year that has landed her in the counselors office, nurses office, and even the principle's office...which I think is where she wants to be. I see this as (negative) attention-seeking behavior and it needs to stop. It's also embarrassing when we are with a group and she's completely ignoring the other children to ask the adults questions. Is there a way to address this without calling even more attention to her negative behavior?
