Question
Hello.
Our son who is 11 has just started receiving a weekly allowance. He has blown it all on junk food (when we aren't around ) and we are not sure how to approach this. Since we know we should guide him to make responsible spending choices, we feel like we should manage his spending in this regard. We eat very healthfully in our home with splurges here and there in moderation. With allowance and spending how should we proceed? It's $5.00 a week getting flushed down the toilet. Thank you.
