Question
My 5th grade daughter has consistently done well in school. This is her first year in middle school (she goes to a school with a classical Christian curriculum) and much more is being required of her regarding planning, self-discipline and studying. She is not rising to the occasion and her grades show it. We have tried again and again to train her in good habits, but she is consistently forgetful, does not turn papers in, fails to have papers signed by me, etc. We have taken away all social privileges, which has devastated her, but doesn't seem to effect her willingness to be self-disciplined. We are at a loss and know the more behind she gets, the harder each year will be. We hate to keep her under "house arrest," but don't know what else to do. We would love any insight you may have!
