Question
My husband and I are both from families where there was some sexual abuse. Neither of us were the victims, but we have seen up close how devastating this is. We now have 4 children..the oldest is 6. We have decided that we are not going to allow our children to spend the night at a friend's house. But our six year old son is now being invited to friends' houses for play dates..friends he has made at school. We want to protect our kids without being paranoid. What do you suggest about children going to a friend's house? Usually we know the parents somewhat, but not really well.
