Question
I would like to start the ticket system with my three in a half year old son. I just finished reading The Well Behaved Child for the second time, so I understand the importance of using alpha speech, staying calm and the referee rule. After reading other parents Q & A concerning three year old's and the ticket system, some guru's express that three years old may possibly be too young, while other guru's suggest that its not too young, but you need to be very specific. My son is very defiant about everything and just ignores me when I say "No" or to "Stop" doing something. Also, he doesn't follow directions with anything. I'm overwhelmed trying to figure out a "specific behavior" that isn't too general that he will understand. Any advice or suggestions to help me get started using the ticket system is appreciated.
