Question
My son just turned 3. When I take something away as a consequence (no particular toy or book for a day) for doing something he knows he is not supposed to do, he immediately follows with "But maybe tomorrow?" and so on like it doesn't bother him if he sees an end in sight. I have been reticent to do the big bombshell takeaway you advocate in your books, only because individually his infractions are minor, although they do trend towards not listening, lying (Daddy said I could do this), etc. Is it fine to do a dramatic consequence (no trains for a week) for these types of behavior at this age? Many thanks.
