Question
We have an almost 3.5 year old boy and an almost 2 year old girl. They are destructive! It is more the boy who instigates destructive behavior but they both play very rough with each other and with their toys. Even when they are playing nicely with each other, they seem to break things. We don't indulge them with lots of toys, keeping gifts and the overabundance of toys locked away. I am not sure how to stop this behavior. They both love books but they even "play" with their books and end up ruining them in the process. I like them to have access to their books but don't know how to stop them from treating them so roughly. They are able to play alone or together for long periods of time occupying themselves, but afterwards, I usually find that they have broken something!
